Best sporting events to watch in November

Activities

Whilst the winter months are upon us and the weather conditions worsen, that does not mean we can’t enjoy the pleasure of sport from comfort of our living rooms.

Here are the must watch sporting events in November:

Great Britain Lions tour (rugby league)

After two defeats in their opening two games, the Great Britain Lions will be hoping to makes amends in their final two matches. First they will try to overcome New Zealand at the second time of asking, on the 9th.

When the pair met last week in the first test, it ended in a 12-8 defeat for the Lions. Following that, the first tour in ten years comes to an end with a clash against Papua New Guinea on the 16th.

Liverpool v Man City (football)

Liverpool welcome Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Klopp’s side could go nine points clear with a victory over their title rivals in the Premier League table.

Despite only being November, the result of the match could very well go a long way in deciding where the trophy ends up at the end of the season.

New Zealand V England (cricket)

England have already started their tour of New Zealand, with a T20 series underway.

After a defeat in the opening clash, England will be hoping to recover, with the next game in the series coming on the 8th.

Whilst the T20 series will come to a close on the 10th, the two sides will go head to head in a test match towards the end of the month.

You can catch all these sports events staying with McComb students.

By Amos Wynn

Hi, I’m Amos and I’m a third year sociology and politics student at Edge Hill University. I am a big sports and music fan, and spend most of my time writing about both subjects, either reporting on a match or reviewing a gig. After uni I hope to become a qualified journalist and continue doing more of the same. When I’m not writing, I am either just relaxing or going out. Hopefully you’ll enjoy reading my blogs as much as I enjoy writing them X.
