Ideas for Summer 2023!

News

Here at McComb Students  we can’t believe how quick this year is going! As the temperature rises and the university year comes to a close, it’s time to bid farewell to textbooks and schedules and welcome the adventures of summer with open arms. The months ahead hold limitless possibilities for unforgettable experiences and personal growth. If you’re seeking inspiration for an exciting summer, look no further! Here are some fantastic ideas to make the most of your well-deserved break:

  1. Explore Nature’s Wonders: Connect with the great outdoors by planning a hiking or camping trip. Gather a group of adventurous friends, grab your gear, and venture into the wilderness. Discover scenic trails, breath-taking waterfalls, and magnificent mountain peaks. Embrace the serenity of nature while developing survival skills, building teamwork, and creating cherished memories.
  2. Develop New Skills: The Summer break offers ample time to learn something new or improve existing skills. Enrol onto a language course, take up photography, learn to cook, or master a musical instrument. With countless online resources and tutorials, you can delve into various subjects and acquire knowledge at your own pace.
  3. Start a Project: Do you have a hobby or interest that you’ve been eager to pursue? Now is the perfect time to embark on a passion project. Whether it’s writing a novel, starting a YouTube channel, creating artwork, or launching a small business, dedicating your summer to a personal endeavour will ignite your creativity and nurture your entrepreneurial spirit.
  4. Read, Read, Read: Escape to different worlds through the pages of books. Create a summer reading list filled with novels, biographies, and non-fiction works that pique your curiosity. Set reading goals, join book clubs, and indulge in the power of storytelling. Reading not only enhances your knowledge and vocabulary but also fuels your imagination.
  5. Stay Active and Healthy: Engage in physical activities that keep you fit and energised. Join a sports club, try out new workout routines, or take up yoga and meditation to enhance your overall well-being. Staying active during summer promotes a healthy lifestyle while allowing you to enjoy the sun and fresh air.
  6. Cultivate a Green Thumb: Create your own green oasis by starting a garden. Whether you have a backyard or a small balcony, gardening can be a rewarding and therapeutic hobby. Plant flowers, herbs, or even vegetables, and watch them flourish under your care.

Remember, Summer is your chance to relax, explore, and embrace the world around you.  No matter what you decide, make this summer one to remember and return to the next academic year with a refreshed spirit and a wealth of new experiences.

Our McComb Students   tenancies run from 1st September for 50 weeks, which is a great because it means that any students who finish their course early but want to stay in Ormskirk, have the option to! A lot of our tenants get jobs in Ormskirk for over the summer and stay at our properties!

We hope you all have the best Summer whatever you decide to do!
