Places to drink, in and around Ormskirk

Food & Drink, Local Info

Celebrating something nice? Got a good grade on your assignment? Someone’s Birthday? Or are you just out for some drinks? There are plenty of places around Ormskirk to try and I guarantee you’ll find yourself a new local!

The Court Leet – Wetherspoons…

Let’s start with the obvious. Every student loves a spoons. They have a range of drinks available all at prices you can’t beat. Perfect for a late night get together or a quick drink after lecture. It is the perfect social space.

Dinky Dory’s…

A beach themed bar that serves ice-cream inspired cocktails. There are always great deals on with 2-4-1 cocktails all day, every day and they even have their own loyalty app where you can get money off and receive loyalty discounts!

Nordico Lounge…

Nordico has such a chill atmosphere! Plus, there are plenty of drinks to choose from! If you’re feeling a bit peckish then there are also food options available too. Even better, they also offer deals alongside food on certain days of the week!

Lyme Tiger…

Lyme Tiger is a real quirky place to grab a cocktail! With some interesting drink choices, it is a great place to head to for pre-drinks before Alpine!

Mimi & Gin…

A classy, quieter place to chill and have a drink. There are plenty of Gins to choose from and if you’re unsure of what to have, the trained ginologists behind the bar will definitely be able to point you in the right direction!

Club 22…

A very underrated student spot, Club 22 brings together the art of drinking with the sport of snooker! Rent a snooker table by the hour and you can play as many games as you like! You can even mix and match between snooker and pool.

Did I miss your favourite drinking spot off?

Have you tried one of our recommendations?

By Alex Greenalgh

Hi! I’m Alex Greenhalgh and I am a second year at Edge Hill University studying Primary Education with QTS, and yes, I know I’m mad for going into that profession… (I’ve heard all the jokes) but I am keen to make a difference to the lives of the next generation. When I am not in University I enjoy cooking, gaming and the university students’ staple pass time, ‘spoons. My interests will be reflected with my blogs as they will have a strong focus on cooking. I understand the struggles and the endless trawls through Aldi looking for the best bargains, so I want to pass on a few insights into how cooking can be fun, inexpensive and tasty! I really do hope you enjoy reading my blogs!
