Three must visit places in Europe

Activities

One of the best things to relieve stress from university is to take some time out and head on short break.

I have picked three very different cities which could be an ideal get away.

Berlin

If you like history and sights then Berlin is the go to place for you.

Whether you are looking at the sights, going to museums or trying the beer, the German capital is brimming with things to do.

Highlights include the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag and pieces of the Berlin Wall.

The city is full of history and it’s a place that cannot be missed.

Dublin

Whilst Dublin is a small city, it makes for an excellent short trip.

If you are looking for a nice drinking trip then the Irish capital has lots to offer, from Temple Bar to tours around the Guinness factory and the Jameson’s factory.

There is also plenty of great history to discover and interesting sights to see, which are all easy to get to.

Barcelona

Barcelona has plenty to offer for any travellers looking for both sun and sights.

The Catalan city has endless things to do and fantastic things to see.

Of course for football fans one of the main highlights will be a tour around the Nou Camp.

The superb stadium has a wonderful museum which accompanies the great view from across the stands.

Make sure to check out Alex’s blog and see what he has been up to this week.

By Amos Wynn

Hi, I’m Amos and I’m a third year sociology and politics student at Edge Hill University. I am a big sports and music fan, and spend most of my time writing about both subjects, either reporting on a match or reviewing a gig. After uni I hope to become a qualified journalist and continue doing more of the same. When I’m not writing, I am either just relaxing or going out. Hopefully you’ll enjoy reading my blogs as much as I enjoy writing them X.
